Out of stock
Bill W. was the Grapevine’s most prolific contributor, writing more than 150 articles, from his first in June 1944 to his last in December 1970. Language of the Heart contains all of Bill’s Grapevine articles in one volume, including his first thoughts about the Traditions, his battles with chronic depression and spiritual pride, memories of an all-night drinking spree with Ebby, and a vivid description of how he came to organize the Steps (there were six in the first draft).

Known as the “Big Book,” the basic text of Alcoholics Anonymous has helped millions of people recover from alcoholism since the first edition appeared in 1939. Chapters describing the A.A. recovery program — the original Twelve Steps — and the personal histories of A.A.’s co-founders remain unchanged since the original, while new stories have been added to the personal histories with each edition.
Fourth Edition (2001). Abridged (without personal stories).
